queen's gambit declined

I don't have a huge encyclopedic knowledge of chess openings. When I play white, I play the Queen's Gambit, and when I play black, I open with the Sicilian in response to e4. This is a cool and instructive video that covers some concepts to consider when the Queen's Gambit is declined.

RIP Village Chess Shop

I'll never forget the time when my brah invited me to spend New Years with him in NY. When I got there he told me that there were two places that I simply HAD to see. One was The Strand bookstore, and the other was the Village Chess Shop. I was absolutely blown away by both. Let’s hope that The Strand sticks around for awhile longer. Check out this cool documentary about the Village Chess Shop: click here
